Services

A warm welcome! Operating out of my home in Leatherhead, Surrey, I treat a variety of addictions, fears and anxieties, and can help with your personal development and wellbeing. Everybody is different, so I tailor treatment sessions to each individual, combining the appropriate advanced hypnotherapy, Gestalt psychology and past-life regression for the person and problem concerned.

Phobias

Fear is our inbuilt natural response to danger. It’s the survival instinct that causes us to act appropriately when genuine danger presents itself. Phobias, on the other hand, are irrational fears of objects or situations that cause little or no danger. Phobias are linked to our subconscious, and because they are irrational, they can often be dealt with using hypnotherapy very effectively. I offer treatment for all phobias – from the more common and recognisable, like arachnophobia (fear of spiders), to the less renowned, like arithmophobia (fear of numbers) – with outstanding results.

Depression and anxiety

Depression and anxiety work together in a vicious cycle. When you feel sad, lonely and without hope, you are also anxious about why you feel that way. This anxiety adds to your depression, and so it continues. Hypnotherapy can help address the underlying cause of your depression, as well as help you find more effective ways to cope. It can also help you achieve a happier outlook and reduce or stop the negative thoughts that generally accompany depression. I offer help for both categories of anxiety symptoms; psychic anxiety, i.e. unpleasant feelings of fear, tension and apprehension; as well as somatic anxiety, i.e. unpleasant bodily sensations, palpitations, sweating and abdominal discomfort.

If you think you are suffering from depression, you should always consult your GP.

Panic attacks

A panic attack can happen without warning, for little or no apparent reason. Although these episodes may appear random, research indicates that they are triggered by our own ‘fight or flight’ response, which floods our bodies with adrenaline and other hormones, so we can defend ourselves from a perceived threat. Panic attacks can seriously impact how you live your life, limiting what you do or where you go, as you attempt to avoid triggering another attack. Hypnotherapy can help to alleviate this overwhelming anxiety, both by direct suggestion and by behavioural training, and I have helped many people manage or even overcome their attacks.

Confidence building

Hypnotherapy has high success rates for helping those suffering from low self-confidence. By reaching the unconscious mind and modifying your belief systems, I can replace your negative thought patterns about yourself with more positive ones, boosting your self-confidence and completely changing your life for the better.

Weight loss

Everyone has different reasons for wanting to lose weight. But it’s the reasons behind the consumption that caused you to gain the weight in the first place that I tackle. I use hypnotherapy to put you into a state of deep relaxation and suggestibility. Once your body and mind are fully relaxed, I will explore the reasons for your overeating and suggest new ways of thinking, through positive visualisations. It won't work in the same way for everyone, but the process of talking about developing good habits and getting rid of bad habits will give you much greater awareness and control, when it comes to food and exercise.

Sleep disorders

Sleep is an essential component in our continued health and wellbeing. This restorative cycle means the body is able to regenerate, so we can continue to function on a daily basis. Sleep disorders are now considered to be one of the most common modern day health complaints, seriously affecting the physical, mental and emotional functioning of many individuals. Hypnotherapy has been proven to be effective treatment for many sleep disorders, because it is about changing patterns of behaviour. I use it to treat insomnia, sleepwalking, nightmares or night terrors, bed wetting, sleep paralysis, awaking confused and restless limbs, to name some of the more common problems.

If you are experiencing a sleep disorder, then first consult your GP, to rule out any serious underlying medical conditions.

Meditation

Learning to meditate will help your mind to switch off, allowing your body to get the deep rest it requires to release stress and stay healthy. It is also the simplest and most effective method of spiritual development. The focus is on the heart and the soul and the present moment. It’s like saying to your inner self, “You do the talking. I will listen.” I can teach you to leave the past and future behind and put all of your focus on the now, helping you feel connected to everyone and everything in peaceful harmony.
